Emily Krause is the founder of Early Observer, a platform dedicated to sharing insights and resources on early childhood education. A passionate Early Years and Primary consultant with over 20 years' experience, she supports children from birth to age 11. Her approach centres on holistic, child-led practice, shaped by a long-standing career in education - including running her own childcare setting, which received two consecutive Outstanding ratings from OFSTED. She brings a wealth of practical insight and real-world experience to her work.
Alongside her direct work with children, Emily provides training and resources to educators and caregivers, supporting the development of nurturing, inclusive, and reflective practice across settings.
Emily champions an approach that places wellbeing at the heart of development and believes in nurturing the whole child - emotionally, socially, physically, and cognitively - recognising that every aspect of a child’s growth is interconnected. She is deeply committed to ensuring that every child is seen, heard, and valued, with their individuality respected and celebrated.
Her work is grounded in a deep understanding of child development and attachment theory and she draws on a range of evidence-based approaches to create supportive, responsive environments where children can thrive. Emily advocates for practices that honour every child as an individual, fostering curiosity, resilience, and a strong sense of self.
Whether working with families, educators, or communities, Emily brings a thoughtful, reflective perspective that supports long-term wellbeing and builds strong foundations for lifelong learning.

Let’s chat nature and why it’s so valuable for the children…and for adults too!

First, let’s focus on the fact that nature is ever changing. This means it provides so many opportunities to explore, experiment, discover and move in new/different ways. It offers different sensory opportunities; observe and reflect.
Secondly, let’s also not forget that with all of these changes it brings you different, free resources and opportunities for learning all of the time!
